The Time War
From WarPedia
The Time War was a savage, brutal and extremely expensive war waged by almost all nations in the world. It is responsible for the deaths of well over 12 billion people, although it has been estimated to be more. Although figures can not be certain, well over 700 countries fought in the war, with the remaining countries still being affected by its consequences. Although no living human fought in the war but, taking into account the implications of time travel and time wars, the world knows about the Time War through documents that were sent back in time to avoid humanity from being destroyed. It is also speculated that several nations knew that the damage done by the Time War would be irreparable, and that they knew of the risks to the timeline should they have sent the information back
To avoid confusion, many scientists and researchers have grouped the warring nations into two groups G the Borness Allegiance (BA) and the Glen Brittle Federation (GBF), after several battles that were attacked and defended in the war.

[edit] Events leading to the Time War
From the documents recovered, we see that several highly advanced countries and alliances started a dispute over territory and borders. From those disputes, several nations chose to wage an all out war against the others. From these wars, countless super weapons were launched, causing death and infuriation with the receiving nations. Although talks were established between the nations through an alliance called The Peace Makers, the warring nations continued to fire these super weapons at each other. Through the continued firing of super weapons, many of these weapons missed their targets and hit surrounding nations by accident. From examining the documents, it is known the attacked nations then joined the GBF.
[edit] The Time War
Though death and destruction was happening all around them, scientists of the BA G under the orders of generals and commanders G continued working on new developments. These include easier ways to farm, faster ways to build and, unfortunately, newer and deadlier weapons. From these weapons came the Temporal Warhead G Capable of traveling an estimated three years into the past, the TWGs were amongst the most deadly of weapons used in the Time War.
From several spy networks located in the unknown BA country, the opposing GBF learned of the weapon and sought, desperately, to either take it for themselves of destroy it. Knowing that if the warhead was fired their nation would be destroyed, the GBF recruited nearly 300,000 divisions from various armies and attacked the suspected launch bay. But the warhead was not there. Fearing the worst, generals attempted to locate the new launch pad using satellites in orbit, but were unsuccessful. However, during the battle several transmissions were intercepted, including part of the schematics for the warhead. Why the BA would send the schematics for the warhead out unencrypted is unknown, but from these plans the GBF were able to build their own Temporal Weapons.
But before these weapons were fully complete, an accident happened at one of the launch pads, scattering thousands of extremely radioactive particles and causing unknown damage to the timeline in the process. The BA took advantage of their misfortune and attacked with thousands of chemical missiles. Seeing the GBF members receive so much damage, the surrounding nations voted to fight against the BA.
Faced with overwhelming odds, the BA decided to attack the other nations with its not yet fully tested Temporal Weapon. Firing the missile, it was found that the workers in the silo aged incredibly by the blast G even though they were in supposedly blast proof rooms. The weapon did, however, hit the nation only a day before its launch. This was disappointing to the generals, as it was hoped that the TP would go back further.
Recovering from its chemical and radiation incidents, the GBF managed to successfully launch a Temporal Weapon at the BA members. Causing vast amounts of damage, the BA retaliated by sending a new weapon through a Temporal Displacer G a BA spy. Carrying with him all the information about the war in his own timeline, the spy was given a mission to give the information to his future general, who was still a general at the time. However, the GBF managed to send their own spy through the Temporal Displacer as they were attacking the base at the time.
The spy for the BA was, ironically, actually a spy for the GBF G a double agent. With two GBF spies back to a time before the Temporal War started, they managed to give the information to a high ranking general. Unfortunately, the general was under surveillance by a future BA spy, who was sent into the past as a backup. Seeing the two spies working together, he managed to kill one of them and severely wound the other.
Managing to jump back to his own timeline with the traitor, he found that the GBA and the BA were on their last legs. With both sides in massive debt, with incredibly large casualties and untold amount of devastation and destruction, the two participations were exhausted. Seeing this, the spy managed to find a working communicator and requested that both of the leaders meet to discuss peace. The leaders were hesitant, but both populations demanded peace and the leaders decided to meet in a neutral location.
[edit] Aftermath
Picking a place out in the sea, both leaders and their members of government sat in a debating hall and talked about what would happen next. From a transcript that was included in the documents, both sides agreed that the war should end and that something had to be done to prevent this from ever happening again. One of the members of government stood up and gave a moving speech about peace and prosperity, and sat down with thunderous applause. An idea was brought forwards to send back the spy who brought them together and prevent the war from ever taking place.
Standing on the platform about to walk into the Temporal Displacer, a young girl reached up and gave the spy a toy. They hugged and the spy walked into the machine. A second before he was about to go back in time, a faction of the GBF who sought to completely destroy the BA launched a nuclear missile at the meeting grounds, killing everyone their and severely damaging the machine. However, the spy was already in transit to the past. While seeing the events that had brought him up to that moment, the little girlGs toy exploded, killing the spy and spreading out his remains and equipment across the past. One of these remains was the spyGs documents and visual recorder which captured his final moments.
[edit] Controversy
There have been several people who have widely discredited these reports. One of the scientists, a Dr Jake Mathews from Scotland, says that time travel is impossible and that several parts of the documents are too good to be true. For example, Mathews says that it would be incredibly good fortune for all the scientific data to fall right into our timeline.
